Vegan Honey Mustard Dip + New Holland's Pies Sausage Roll!
AD - Paid product placement in partnership with Holland’s Pies
Holland’s Pies have launched their first vegan product, a mouth-watering sausage roll.
There have been many exciting launches in the vegan food space over the past few years, but this latest one piqued my interest for two reasons. One, it's from a local company, and two, it's one of my favourite food items - a good old sausage roll.
When I found out Holland's Pies were launching a vegan roll, I was excited. We do enjoy our baked goods in the North West (I'm from Wigan, I've heard every pie joke there is) and Holland's is a brand that dates back to 1851. If I trust anyone to get a sausage roll right, it's them.
Holland's Pies sent over some rolls for me to try and I'm pleased to report they do not disappoint. The sausage is meaty, beautifully seasoned with herbs, and the pastry is delicious. You can cook these in the microwave or oven (it's worth the wait for the latter in my opinion) and they cost just £1.25.
These would be great as a snack or to take to work, even if you aren’t cutting meat out entirely. The rolls are Vegan Society approved and available in Morrison’s stores throughout the North West now. If you’d like to find your nearest stockists you can use the handy Pie Finder here!
I decided to create a dip to compliment the new roll, and settled on a vegan version of a classic honey mustard. Not only is this delicious with a vegan sausage roll, but it works well as a dressing too! You can find the recipe for this dip below. Enjoy, and thanks to Holland’s Pies for working with me on this post.

Vegan Honey Mustard Dip
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1.5 tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp vegan mayo
- 1 tsp cornstarch
Instructions:
- Mix everything but the cornstarch together in a bowl, stirring until the mayonnaise combines with the rest of the liquid ingredients.
- Add a small amount of water to the cornstarch to create a slurry, and then combine with the rest of the ingredients. This will ensure they mix well and will avoid clumping.
- Heat the mixture gently in a saucepan over low-medium heat until the cornstarch causes it to thicken.
- Transfer to a ramekin or small jar and refrigerate to cool and set before using.
